2020 Spring Baseball & Softball Registration Open!

Below is a short explanation of each Baseball and Softball Division and season timeline employed by Elgin Classic Little League. Also included is a link to the Little League Age Calculator that we follow to determine ages.

The AAA, Major, Intermediate, and Junior Divisions for baseball and the Minor A, Major, and Junior Divisions for softball all require a player evaluation to ensure that player is in the correct division. Elgin Classic creates teams based on the skill level of its players - creating competitive balance between teams.

Player evaluations will be held February 22 and 23 from 5-8pm at Athletes HQ (1005 N Randall, Elgin).  Baseball will be Saturday, February 22 and Softball will be Sunday, February 23.

Teams for most divisions will be chosen in late February to early March and practices start soon after depending on division and weather. Our Opening Day Ceremony at Wing Park will be held in late April.

Games for some of the older divisions start mid April but most division games start late April or early May. The season runs through May and June with Little League All-Stars tournaments in July.

If you are NOT sure about which division to place your child, make a best guess or reach out to a board member. We will make a final determination after your child is evaluated.

Registration closes for many of the upper divisions February 21st.  Late fees will be applied after February 21st for divisions that close on that day.

This year, treat tickets for all home games will be included in the registration fee for Tee Ball, AA, AAA, Majors Baseball, Minor B, Minor A, and Majors Softball.

Beginning this year, the non-volunteer fee will be $150, but no longer charged at registration. A check will be due at the time of uniform pick-up. We will hold on to the check and return to you at the last game of the season provided enough volunteer hours/events have been completed. More details will follow in the new year, but in general these events include managing, coaching, working as team parent, helping prep fields, assisting in the concession stand, and helping on Field Day as well as other opportunities. If the minimum number of volunteer hours/events has not been completed, checks will be cashed.

After reviewing the Baseball and Softball Divisions below you can log into (or register) your account at www.elginclassicll.com and register your child(ren).
